Naval Reserve Association Presentation (PDF)

The Naval Reserve Association, now 50 years since its birth in 1954, is organized nationally through some twelve Districts, the boundaries of those Districts being the old Naval District boundaries. Within each District are local Chapters.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter is one of 37 local Chapters within the Ninth District. Its members, for the most part, live in the Denver metropolitan area, but there are some from the Colorado Springs area, west into the mountains, and north as far as Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Actual Chapter meetings are held to a minimum, averaging about one a year. The Chapter charges a nominal annual local dues which gives the Chapter a modest budget to cover the costs of gifts for invited speakers, small financial help for members to attend national NRA Conferences, mailing and internet service costs, and costs for invited guests at dinners or dining outs.

The Chapter has a series of get togethers/events during the year where members and guests can attend if they so desire. There is no attendance requirement. This provides an excellent way to make friends, renew old acquaintances, and stay abreast of current goings on. Check our "Upcoming Events" for more details.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter was selected as the most outstanding Chapter of the Naval Reserve Association for the year 2003-4. By going through the information on our Web Site, you can see all the activities that we are involved in. We hope (and are planning on) repeating that honor again this year.

Practically all of the Chapter's communication is by e-mail. We urge all members, if at all possible, to get on the Internet and start using e-mail. It is the only cost and time effective way the Chapter can communicate.

Our entire membership strongly desires those who wish to join our Chapter to do so. It is doubly important that drilling Naval Reserve officers and enlisted, particularly the junior officers, become part of our Chapter, for they are the future, the lifeblood of the Naval Reserve Association. We welcome all with open arms.

To join the Rocky Mountain Chapter, please mail your Biographical Information Form with a $25 check payable to "Rocky Mountain Chapter, NRA" for your annual dues.
