Programs for the Rocky Mountain Navy Association
The Rocky Mountain Navy Association has adopted and established the following programs:
- Professional Development
To assist the drilling Naval Reserve Officer with his/her professional development, how to become a more professional officer, how to
improve chances of promotion, record checks, fitness report writing, ACDUTRA opportunities, etc.

- Civilian Job-Finding Assistance
We at the Rocky Mountain Naval Reserve Association understand that the job hunt is a daunting challenge, often filled
with far more questions than answers. As naval officers we understand that this equation must be reversed to guarantee success in a job search or career transition.
We offer our help through a variety of means to resolve these many employment related questions and to expedite your civilian job search in the State of
Colorado.

- Pre-Retirement Assistance
To provide information and guidance to the Naval Reserve Officer about to retire, both from a drilling status, and from the Naval
Reserve, pay and allotment questions, health care questions, use of Navy facilities, Space A travel, use of BOQs, etc. Hold annual/semi-annual forums for dissemination
to all hands.

- Family Assistance/Support for Reservists on Extended ACDU
To provide assistance and advice to families of Reservists on extended ACDU, including communications, family support, health care
questions, etc.
- Navy Recruiting Assistance
To assist Navy Recruiting District Denver and Reserve Recruiting Western Region in their recruiting efforts, including providing and
following up on leads, recognizing outstanding ACDU recruiters, assisting with media contacts, corporate support, high school liaison and contacts, etc.

- NJROTC/Sea Cadet Programs
Work to bring NJROTC programs to Colorado's front range (and elsewhere as appropriate). Assist with increasing Sea Cadet program
awareness.
- International/National Affairs
To provide current and insightful information on country's international and national matters as they relate to U.S. Navy, and
particularly with ties to the Rocky Mountain area. Sponsor periodic lectures and programs with guest expert speakers.
- National/State Legislation
To stay abreast of current pending legislation affecting the Naval Reserve and the Navy. To keep Chapter members and Navy community
informed and current.
- Social Activities
To plan, organize, promote, and sponsor appropriate social events for Chapter members and guests, to promote opportunities for old
friends to get together, and for the making of new friends within the Navy community.
- Sertoma Club of DTC - Soldier Project
The Sertoma Club of DTC has conducted a fund raising project to help some of our seriously wounded soldiers recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. While these men and women receive the finest medical care available, they still have some additional needs. The Sertoma Club of DTC Request Letter
