This includes supporting the military and naval policies of the United States to the end that our national defense and national security will be developed and strengthened through having an adequate naval establishment that includes a well trained and readily available Naval Reserve. To achieve this, the Naval Reserve Association is committed to: providing an informative and professional educational program to Naval Reservists; encouraging and promoting activities of Naval Reservists to ensure an understanding of and attainment of the highest professional standards in the Navy; collect, evaluate and disseminate information which relate to our country’s welfare and security; promote individual obligation of Naval Reservists to our Navy, and the interest of the Navy in its Reserve; support naval sciences and programs; maintain the traditions of the Naval Service; promote its vision and achieve its mission as defined in the current Strategic Plan. The Naval Reserve Association’s web site, www.navy-reserve.org contains a wealth of information for the Naval Reservist, both active and retired. It is current, informative, and covers many subjects and areas of interest, both to the Naval Reservist (whether officer or enlisted), and to those contemplating becoming a Naval Reservist.
